The Giants Win the Pennant! Bumgardner’s legendary performance in Game 7

Madison Bumgardner put on an unbelievable performance in Game 7 of the World Series, as they beat the Royals 3-2, padding his MVP credentials in the process. His play in October alone has been mythical, with a 1.03 ERA in 52 2/3 innings. In Game 7, Bumgardner blanked the Royals in the 6th, 7th and 8th innings, when in the 9th, he yieled a two-out single to Alex Gordon that CF Gregor Blanco compounded with a hideous two-base error.

No matter how you cut it, the Giants’ postseason run this year will go down as one of the best ever, and San Francisco is well-deserving of their third title in 5 years.
