The Raiders are the worst team in the NFL right now, sitting at a predictably laughable 0-7. The biggest issue here is how tough Oakland’s remaining schedule is. After missing a great opportunity for perhaps their only win of the season against the vulnerable Browns, the Raiders must go on and play the following: Denver (x2), Kansas City (x2), San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco and Buffalo. The only team the Raiders have a chance of beating in this stretch are the similarly inept Rams, whom they face in Week 13. Other than that, the schedule is unforgiving and Oakland may come out of 2014 as only the second team in history to lose every game in a 16 game season, joining the four other members of the “NFL Winless Club”.
Sure, Oakland doesn’t seem like 0-16 bad, looking at their close losses to San Diego and New England, but a loss is still a loss. However, the silver and black got their tails whipped by Miami and lost to the Jets, and have lost their last two games to a combined score of 47-26.
To me, they seem prime to go either 0-16 or 1-15, morphing Al Davis’ famous “Just win, baby” into “Just win ONE, baby.”
